This is the home page for Brian Weaver, an artisan from Central New York.

Sculptures

The sculptures are created with sheet steel and wood. From concept to pattern and throughout the hand working process I like to work fairly loosely in this medium. After developing a pattern the steel components are cut out and worked to shape by hand. After the shaping and welding the sculpture is "colored" with both heat from a torch and Patinas.

Jewelry

All of my jewelry starts as either a concept or as a collaboration between myself and my client. I utilize varied metals as well as enameling,hand engraving and shaping to complete the design. I also hand carve waxes to be used in the lost wax carving technique.

Fishing Lures

The Collectable fishing lures are created using varied metals such as Copper,Nickel Silver and Sterling Silver. From a hand drawn pattern the shapes are cut by hand with a jewelers saw and hand shaped.

Brian is currently exploring the nuances of working with steel, but he is comfortable in many media.

With experience as a Goldsmith/Engraver as well as a Wood carver, Brian is always designing and producing one-of-a-kind pieces of both art and jewelry.
